COEAR is leading one of India's most ambitious agricultural transformation projects through Solar Greenhouse Technology. This innovative greenhouse model combines Solar Power Generation, Protected Farming, Smart Irrigation, Climate Controlled Cultivation and Sustainable Agriculture.
The system helps farmers produce crops throughout the year while simultaneously generating electricity through integrated solar systems. COEAR has signed an MOU with world renowned Israeli Company M/s Top Greenhouses Ltd. for the latest Greenhouse Technology.

Technology Details
Solar Power Generation
One acre greenhouse can generate upto 75 Kw per hour (units) of electricity out of which 15 units will be required to operate the Greenhouse and 60 units will be fed to the grid which will enable a farmer to earn about Rs. 6 Lakhs of income per year out of Solar Power Generation without affecting the productivity.
Subsidy & Funding
The price of such a greenhouse of 1 acre size will be approx. Rs. 90 Lakhs. 50% of it is available as subsidy by National Horticulture Board (NHB). Several states are offering additional subsidy over and above 50%. The state of Goa offers another 40% making a total of 90% subsidy. The balance amount can be easily financed upto 80% by any nationalized bank. The residual amount (margin money) will be funded by our society.
Hand Holding Support
The society will extend hand holding support to the farmer in operation and maintenance of Greenhouse. COEAR joining hands with IARI Pusa to get handholding support in successfully developing DEMO units on agricultural land available with COEAR in Bijwasan, New Delhi.
Solar Cold Storages
The society will also install Solar cold storages to assist the farmers to sell their product at a reasonable price to the market, eliminating middlemen and ensuring fair prices.
